God Has Answered Our Prayers!

As if in answer to our prayers, it rained early this morning. When there was light enough I went out to check for the sign of rain, sure enough there were puddles of water on the road. Around 8.00 AM it rained again and I was able to snap some photos to capture the scene.
After being deprived of rain for so long, this light drizzle is bliss not only to us human beings but also to plants and animals. I can see the wet leaves which seemed to be smiling after being wet by the rain. The slight drizzle has cleaned up the leaf surface of dust thus opening up it's stomatal opening for easier intake of carbon dioxide from the air and the relese of oxygen much needed by others. The birds are singing and chirping in joy too. They too must have felt the heat of the weather.

The falling rain cascading from my awning.

Puddles of water on the road indicating the amount of rain was quite substantial.

The overcast sky indicating that there is more to come.

The look of joy on the leaves of the mango tree.
Let us hope more rain will come as the padi field in some areas in Pasir Mas as well as some of the wells in the area. Those who depends on the well for water, life must have been hard for them. Those of us who were using piped water could sense the low water pressure and was anticipating the tap to dry up soon.
Fortunately God has answered our prayers to provide us with some relief.

Salam Pak Zawi
Alhamdulillah, Allah has answered your prayers!
I watched on the tv recently that farmers in the KADA areas had been very badly hit by this hot weather. And apparently it is quite certain that they would be experiencing a big loss this season. I wonder what would happen to them, and even the country, if we were to experience draught again even just for another season.

Yes, Abang Zawi! We are grateful indeed for the rain! Those photos look so good. Makes me want to run in the rain. There can be no greater joy than playing football in the rain. The plants look happy!

We got that same rain on the other side of the border. :) Weird little storm. I ended up carrying around an umbrella all day for no good reason!

Temuk,
Yes our farmers will lose one season of crop. KADA dam up the Kelantan River recently but it was quite late and the result has yet to be felt and thus the pumps are yet to start. When the rain comes steadily the dam will be redundant and half a million will just go to waste.
Anyway alhamdulillah, the rain has cooled the situation abit.

Ee Lynn,
I would let my grandchildren frolick in the rain too. Only when there is lightning will i forbid them to play in the rain.
Not only the plants are happy, the animals and humans are happy too.

Maria,
It must have been the same cloud that brought the rain to our places. Rain don't discriminate people and places on anyside of the border.
Why are u so scared of the rain? Just enjoy getting wet hehehe.

Datin,
I was quite envious when I saw you reporting rain in Kuantan when we haven't received a single drop. That prompts me to blog about it when we had the rain. Then the politicos can't use the dry spell as a curse on the people of Kelantan for retaining the opposition hahaha (take that as a joke).
Hujan kejap tak apa asalkan lebat.
Hebat ke tulisan Pak? Tak rasa hebat pun.
Salam dah disampaikan.

Tatak,
It was raining all over kelantan then. Only the amount of rain may differ but all were given some rain. It should be good enough respite from the long dry spell. At least the atmosphere carries some moisture.
Thank you Allah.

Yes, I've been praying for rain here too!

And like you, I feel that the leaves are smiling with happiness at the touch of the lovely water!

I have a little potted plant indoors that I sometimes forget to water. And when I do water it, I always hear it go, "Sluuuurrrrrppp!'

Really! I kid you not! Hahahahaha!

Pat,
Plants are almost similar to us, they need water to bathe too. So while bating they do slurp some water too beside taking them via the roots.
Don't forget to water your plant as it can tantamount to 'penderaan' too.

Pak Zawi,
Salaam!

I know, I know...it has been a long time, but good to know that you've got rain. On my last few days in KL I remember it was so very hot and humid. Even the taxi drivers commented on this, so it really must have been for them too, poor lads, out there all day long in the sun. I'm sorry I couldn't meet you but I understand you were on a construction project.

Rain is a rahmah and du'as are answered when it pours. Remember to do du'a for us too, Pak.

Hi Pak Zawi,

Here, what we want is sun! And we got it for a few days (everyone was out like crazy!)...But apparently, forecast says snow will be coming again...

=( Haih...Spring should officially be here on the 21st of March.

Pak Zawi said...

perakians kelantanese,
When you stay on too long you are bound to become ineffective. Ain't it time for a change?

Pak Zawi said...

Abang Awang,
You were in KL while I was in Pasir Mas so there was not really much chance for us to meet.
Rain has brought us some respite from the heat. Syukur.

Lee,
Her demise was really a sad thing knowing how much fun you had kidding with her on your site.
May her soul rest in peace.

Pak Zawi said...

Pak man,
Alhamdulillah! Rahmat hujan amat di hargai setelah kemarau sekian lama.

Pak Zawi said...

Daph,
You can always find the sun back home hehehe.
Oh spring didn't come as speculated eh?
