I Need Your Contact Numbers

Thief (thieves) broke into my house in the early morning of 11th November 2009. I lost my handphone and all the contact numbers in it. To all of my friends please sms me your contact numbers to my 0199125647 so that I can rebuild my phonebook. Please don't forget to include your name otherwise I may not be able to discern your name unless you include it.
We didn't lose much as the thief only took away a copper jug we bought from Mecca in 1997, my Seiko Kinetic watch, two old handphones including my Motorola and a bottle of water. Well those are the few things we could discern as missing.
Thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear about the robbery, Zawi. But, I'm glad you and your family are safe and unharmed. That's what's most important.

I'll sms my number later, k :)

Pat,
We were fast asleep. It seemed they broke in at 3 am as a neghbour heard a muted bang as the door was pried open but he thought it was a cat jumping over the metal roof so he didn't check out. Anyway our loss was minimal.
Thanks.

Sorry to hear about the robbery, but good thing your family was unharmed & the robbers didn't get your other "toys" (camera, laptop etc), did they? Biasanya kalau dah pecah masuk, geledah habis. My brother pernah kena last year, siap kena ikat and in fact my brother himself needed a few stitches on his head after bergelut with the robbers.

Yes, syukur that none of your family members were harmed. time to own one of those BB guns available in golok perhaps? ok kidding. get a real one instead.

i'll sms you my number in a bit.

Pak Zawi..kesian you all..luckily lah nobody was harmed ye..Alhamdullillah.

Ok..nanti I sms you later plus Dato' punya number..

Biar barang2 hilang asalkan nyawa terselamat dan takde siapa hurt whatsoever..

Salam banyak2 pada Fatthiyah..

Pi,
Yes we were lucky we were left un harmed, in fact we were sound asleep. They missed too many things that could be of value because they couldnt carry them. I guess it was a lone ranger doing it and he could take only what he could carry.

Pak Zawi said...

Kerp,
I should get the real ones. Could blow up some heads and the lesser of them left in this world the better for everybody.
Thanks for the number.

Kenari,
Memang kami amat bersyukur kerana yang diambil tak seberapa harganya. Sekarang saya guna handphone lama yang nampaknya masih boleh digunakan. Cuma memorynya kecik sikit. Gotta make do lah. Tak payah canggih mangih nanti kena lagi lak.

Pak Zawi said...

Minnie,
Thanks ya.

Pak Zawi said...

Datin,
Alhamdulillah, kami amat bersyukur.
Thanks for the numbers.

O lupa nak usik you..luckily burgler tu bukan art collector...kalau tak Puteri nangis artworks you kena bawak lari!! hahahaha

Pak Zawi said...

Mamasita,
Most of such burglars are looking only for coinboxes and small items that can be easily sold for some quick fixes. I doubt they know where to sell paintings unless Datin Mamasita acts a a fence heheheehe.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Pak Zawi. Yes & thank god, no physical harm was set upon you & makcik. What’s loss can be replaced but the mere thought of someone ‘invading’ your private space & going thru’ your personal belongings is just so dreadful & violating.

And I tot such problem is only confined to major towns & cities, it’s really sad that kampongs are not spared by such socially unacceptable activities too.

Take care,
Tommy.

P/S – Hope that M#$%&* did not leave his poop there too, like I heard they do sometimes! On the safe side, go replace all your toothbrushes, no joke!

Pak Zawi said...

TY,
It is getting very rampant in my area now. Its related to drug addiction as these are the main reason many youths are involved in such criminal activities.
I didn't see any poo being left i guess he must have been in a hurry.
I will take note of your advice about the toothbrushes though I would love to know the reason why.

Tommy Yewfigure said...

It's folklore that I heard that they're pantang too. If they r not satisfied with their loot, they either poop in your place or use your toothbrushes to brush your toilets so as to 'buang their "sway" away'(as in bad luck for them)...heheh sounds stupid huh.

Salam, Abang Zawi. I have sent you my phone number. Syukur you and your family are unharmed. A bit disturbed by the stolen water, though. Was it an opened bottle? Takut orang jampi. Please take care.

Salam Pak Zawi.. i just had to say something bcos having my home broken into is a constant fear & my worst nightmare.

Alhamdulillah u & urs were not harmed in any way & ur loses quite minimal. do take care bcos they say sometimes the 1st break-in can actually be a preliminary scouting exercise. semoga tak berulang.

Rgds,
Justiffa.

Assalamualaikum Ayoh Awi

Kesian dan bersedih dengar khabar tu. Sedikit ujian dari Allah tu bersabar lah mujur juga diri Ayoh Awi dan keluarga tidak diapa-apakan

Pak Zawi said...

Tommy,
That figures. Thanks once again.

Pak Zawi said...

Ee Lynn,
Thanks for the fon number. It was a bottle from my fridge. I can't figure what they need for. Hope it was just for drinking.

Pak Zawi said...

Justifa,
Once our home istargeted, they will find a way to enter and of course they will study the weakest spot for entry.
My mistake was keeping some lights in the house on thus giving them a clear sight inside. Now we do the reverse, keep the outside lighted and the inside in darkness. I have reinforced all the weak spots. Now doubt no amount of reinforcement can hold agaianst burglars who often come prepared.
Yes my fear is that it was just a preliminary scouting for bigger things in the future. Will not want to leave home much now.

Mohamad,
Waalaikummussalam.
Terima kasih atas ingatan. Saya memang menerima ini sebagai satu pengajaran dah sudah membuat beberapa perubahan untuk menghindar kemasukan pada masa akan datang.

Salam Pak Zawi,
So sorry to hear about the burglary. Alhamdulillah , you all are not harmed. Baca Ayat Kursi sebelum tidur to 'fence' your house. Insyaallah you will be protected.

Pak Zawi said...

NanaDJ,
Alhamdulillah we were not harmed. InsyaAllah I will do as suggested to fence up my home.

Sorry to hear about the burglary. The most important thing is that you and family are safe, Alhamdulillah, those missing items can be replaced, later.

Salam Pak Zawi,

Already texted you my mobile number. Glad to know you are okay.

Mungkin muslihatnya is to allow you to get an iPhone or Blackberry kot :-)

Equip the premises with booby traps! Secret moats with crocodiles, paint buckets rigged over doors, electric fences... You know, that sort of thing. Trust me, they'll never come back!

Still working on that cyborg, though.

sorry to hear that, saya txt no hp saya pada pak zawi nanti.

Alhamdullillah you and family are fine hope with the reinforcement that you put in place everything will be ok now. How is your painting progressing anyway?

Pak Zawi said...

LadyZ,
How true, we are so happy that we didn't encounter the burglar. in desperation he/they would have done anything to escape from being caught. Yes, the items can be replaced but I have so many old ones that could serve the purpose.

Pak Zawi said...

Fathil (Oldstock),
Thanks for the number.
I won't be upgrading to a more sophisticated phones as i am too careless with them. Somehow I may lose them too so it is better to lose a cheap phone than an expensive ones, afterall I have mobile internet which can be hooked up from anywhere. I am using an old Siemen A55 bought several years ago but still in working condition. That will do as of now.

Pak Zawi said...

Maria,
Somehow all those mentioned by you did cross my mind. The electric fence was uppermost. Would love to see them defecate in their pants when they touch the several thousand volts of electricity. Would be great to capture on camera the expression on their faces at the time of contact. had been involved in electric elephant fencing in oil palm plantation and the knowledge could be quite handy.
Will always opt for your cyborg once it is done. Will it be done before you leave for home?

Pak Zawi said...

mdhafizi,
Thanks for the sms.
Tak balik ke hujung tahun ni?

Pak Zawi said...

Dato' Jaff,
Thank you for the contact numbers. Did some reinforcement and improve the lightings around the house. Though no amount of reinforcement could prevent them from breaking in, it is better than letting them have it easy.
Sad to say the heavy rain that nearly resulted in water getting into my house due to poor drainage and this burglary is affecting my painting activity. I am struggling to fulfill my friends order for their paintings. haven't work on anything for the exhibition yet.

Gurindam Jiwa said...

SubhanAllah. Sorry to know that. At least you all are safe, which matters most. I wonder what is so tempting about a bottle of water?

Pak Zawi said...

Mazle,
Maybe he/they believe that by eating or drinking something from the house made them invisible or invincible to the house owner whilte they were at it. That's my best guest.
Pls sms me your number.

Matt Kopikarat said...

Salam Pak Zawi. I do not know about your house. syukur, your family fine. I saw your article in Kama's blog and me quite shocked. That's why I cannot reach you by phone. Ok..see ya tomorrow and after meeting come to my house with Kama and the team. See ya!

Pak Zawi said...

Deen,
I left you a message on YM and it is obvious you didn't see the message.
See you tomorrow.

Temuk said...

Salam Pak Zawi
Turut berdukacita di atas musibah yg menimpa. Really feel sorry & bad about it. Yg dialami rakan kita Deen baru saja rasanya. Susah hati betul kita di Malaysia hari ni, ya. Walaupun kita tahu di lain2negara pun dah serupa. Kerja mencuri jadi sangat mudah, diminati & cepat hasilnya. Ustaz saya pesan, baca tiga qul tiap malam & minta pertolongan Allah utk keselamatan. Mudah-mudahan.

Salam Pak Zawi
I wondered earlier why you asked for my contact number via google talk although I know I had given you sometime ago.
That's what I get for not blog-hopping. I haven't done it in a while because I was pretty busy with work.
Thank God you and family were unharmed.

Pak Zawi said...

Temuk,
Begitulah keadan di negara kita pada masa kini, keselamatan sudah menjadi satu luxury yang susah nak dinikmati oleh mana mana golongan walaupun yang kaya.
InsyaAllah saya akan amlkan bacaan ayat2 tersebut.

Pak Zawi said...

Fauziah,
Had to use the opportunity to get your number knowing how busy journalists are nowadays.
Thanks for the number. Keep in touch.
